Help! Windows XP in Japanese!

lol! My computer is somehow now in Japanese thanks to my little sister! Where do I go to change the Windows language to English!?

Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel. Double click on the Languages and Regional Settings icon. You should be able to select English from the first drop-down menu there :stuck_out_tongue:

That doesn’t change anything :expressionless: Any other ideas? She upgraded it to XP Pro and now everything is in Japanese :S… Does Windows come in different languages or does the same version contain every language?

O.K. I have now found out that the instal disk was Japanese… does anyone know if it’s possible to either change the language to English even if it involves a reformat or if there is a patch or something to get it to English?

Please help I need it urgently!

I don’t know what to do beyond that. Maybe you could download the English language pack? In the above URL they mention that MS has language packs that can be used to install another language. Hopefully you can also install an English langauge pack :slight_smile:
