Help with actionscripted zoom

Hey there everyone!
I’m new on the forums, but i’ve been browsing for a fair while
I find kirupa’s site to be the best place for useful flash tutorials, so i figured here would be the place to come for my question!

At this site www.frostdesign.co.uk , they have an interface based on zooming in and out of the design.

Just like other sites, i’ve noticed how smooth everything runs! And it’s been beyond my skills to achieve it. . and now i have a hunch that it was actionscripted movement/zoom ?

Could someone give me an idea of how it works and how difficult it is to implement?

I’m sick of my flash animations not looking professional because i’m using jerky motion tweens.

Or am i completely off base, and this kind of smooth and fast transition is possible somehow with motion tween?

! thanks in advance

Yikes. Now that is a brilliant site. I was hoping to do a map like that for my home town Manchester in UK. If only someone would be good enough to provide some code. Its not fair! I’m a designer, they should make it easier for designers to code like that. I am just curious about the zoom in code. Thats really cool.

That is so cool. Take a look at:

Look under Rollover Scaling and/or Panorama and I think you’ll find what you’re looking for there.

Peace.
