I have achieved a working image pan with the use of tutorial:

The problem is I’m creating a really long ‘time line’ to be ‘image panned’ to allow user to scroll through. However after the image extends past 4000px (width) Flash only exports a swf that is block red.
From looking around I understand that 4000px width seems to be the maximum width, but can anyone confirm this and is there a way of stitching lots together somehow.
I’m trying to do a year and each month comes up to approx 5-6000px (width).
Or perhaps there is another method I could be using? Or am I screwed?
