This is my first post on Kirupa, but I must say I have already learned quite a bit from the site. It’s such a wonderful resource and I’m hoping someone can help me out with a concept I can’t grasp. I’ve done some searching around the forums and wasn’t able to find an example of what I wanted to do; please forgive my ignorance if this is covered somewhere else.
I am working on my site and I have been doing ok for the most part. My navigation is in place and works fine, however, I am having a hard time understanding transitioning from one frame to another.
When I click on a button (say “Profile” for instance), it goes to a frame labeled “profile” and plays the content of that frame. Works just fine. However, what I want it to do is when I click another button (say “Contact”), I want the Profile piece to fade/transition out, while the Contact part fades/transitions in. This seems simple enough I guess, however I don’t understand how to make this work. I have a profile_mc, work_mc, and a contact_mc that I have positioned at different frames that are referenced by the buttons.
If anyone has a simple example of how to transition between these three, or if there is another way that I should be laying out my sight, please let me know.
