Hi everybody…I’ve been on this site for a long time and I really dig all the cool things that can be done with Flash. I hav two questions though…
Question 1: Which is the best method for making a flash base web site? A lot of people say that using only the timeline with actions is the best but I have used Scenes with a relative amount of success…What do ya’ll think…Scenes or timeline?
Question 2: There was a tutorial for a news ticker that used XML for it text as well as for the links to certain articles. Great ticker that is incredibly useful and can be retrofitted for any use…here’s the link: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/newsticker.htm
My question is can those links from the XML file be used to reach certain scenes in a flash movie or better yet how can I click a link in the new ticker and reach certain areas in a flash timeline or scenes in a flash movie? Is it even possible to have an XML link to a scene in flash?
