My question is silly. I am not a flash developer I am just here for fun. I visited the site www.levitated.net . I found it very interesting , there are so many open source .fla files to download but when I open them with flash it seems to me there is too little code against the beautiful animations appearing.
My question is : is the code hidden? or generically is there a way to hide code in flash? is it protected?
Flash code is found under Actions. On the timelines of movies (and the main timeline) you might occasionally see a little a, which indicates there’s some code behind that frame. Right click on that frame and select Actions, and you’ll be able to view the code. Bear in mind as well that a lot of animation can be done with tweens, not just code.
I know that there’s code attached to movie clips but (go for eg to http://www.levitated.net/daily/levAmodaMosaic.html and download the source). There’s very little actionscript code in it. Don’t you believe that?
I love that site! I download code from there often, and it’s amazing what he can do. It’s all math stuff. And it’s all there. It’s way over my head, he needs to write some tuts. defining the AS.
