Hide .php extension

Hello,

I’ve got a question about how to hide .php extension.
I know how to avoid that user see then by creating the little top frame with 1 pixel height but I want to only hide .php extension.

For example:

www.domain.com/example?language=en

or

www.domain.com/?language=en

instead of had

www.domain.com/example.php?language=en
