Hover captions issue

the hover captions won’t work properly because the plots overlap… so you can be over one plot and over another… i lined up the templates to see what i could do… but the possible overlapping space is too much to apply a hover over the unoverlapping space… but what we could do is add movieclips that activate a hover… but where to place them… what will really work is if someone knows how to make the actionscript know where it is at and select whats on top… we are kinda stumped right now… any ideas would be perfect
