at the bottum they have 3 columns i want to do they same thing where they select from the first list they select from the secong list then the description shows up and loads a swfs

which of these two methods would be easier to use

I think he use’s something like a XML menu.

yeah, there are some pretty good XML tutorials around.

the whole thing is done in flash (ie its not full of little swfs) so it could be done in MovieClips only, though a bit complicated…

Honestly I think your best bet would be to learn how to load the seperate sections, via XML. I would be dynamic, and basically once you set it up, you could have 1 section with 1 link. or 40 sections with 40 links, and spend only minutes updating the page.

Updating the movie/content, by making a new specific movie clip for each section would take you forever. It may seem like an easier option right now, if you are unfamiliar with actionscript and or XML, but in the long run it would be worth it.
