Hi there,
I must use this layer from a photoshop document

The white part is transparant and the dark is alpha
For example:

But it adds 30kb (i have import the layer as .png and set the quality property in the library to 10%). I am working on a banner so that’s a no-no.
any idea???
regards
I might be wrong about this. (If I am no doubt someone will correct me.)
This is not possible in Flash 8 but (I think) it is possible in the current version of Flash, CS3. (I still use Flash 8 but have had some opportunities to start working with CS3.)
In CS3 I believe you can import a Photoshop document with all of the individual layers still intact as separate layers. From there I would assume it would be possible to eliminate the Photoshop layers you do not need.
Again, I don’t know this for sure. I may be way off base. (And if you do not have CS3 - or access to it - it would not be an option anyways. Just thought I’d share what I believe I read or saw about using Photoshop and CS3.)
[QUOTE=z_in;2338992]You can draw it in flash, convert it to a symbol (MovieClip), then add blur effect under filter.

@z_in, tx
followed your suggestion with a radial fill and some alpha < made a movieclip < set the alpha and it just adds 1/2 kb (joy, joy)
