I went onto the forum earlier today, I posted a thread and looked around finding there were hardly any posts happening at all and from people I am not familiar with… “Thats weird… Is it a holiday today or something?” I was thinking to myself. I leave for a while and come back - I realized I posted my thread in the CS3 forum - :doh:
So hi, I have arrived back to earth!
I am looking for someone to help me out on adding some text to the stage with AS3. I have never worked with text in in AS before (ie loading text via AS) and so I need some direction if someone is willing to give some.
I am loading pictures onto the stage via an array and some loaders. I want to add text to each image. Not sure where to start… I sure I can figure out how to position them once I know how to load them. But thats the part I need help with - the loading part.
I have 9 different images on the screen at once and each one needs a name that I can specify the size, font, color etc. They are not changeable by the user.
If you need me to provide you with my code I can do that.
Can you pls give me some pointers of how to do this - even some direction like look up “blah” on the internet for some tutorials.
I was googling it for a while but did not find what I was looking for.
