How to acheive this..?

Can anyone point me in the direction on how to make this effect, when you click on the Links, the main window slides to that MC or part of the MC, it also loads each part when you click it, not the whole thing at once (i think)… also you can slide the slider back and forth and it moves the main window part, can anyone help me out on how to make something similar to this? thanks alot!

Best advice is to pick of Josh Davis’s book (Flash to the Core – Interactive Sketchbook). For one the book is GREAT, two this effect is explained in detail in several step by step tutorials.

If you don’t want to pick up the book … Which I think all Flash Designers should add to there library, then post a reply back and I’ll post a step by step method of doing this :slight_smile:

I suggest looking at scripted movement and loading external files here at the forums. That will help you in the right direction.

Here is a file I did up a while back using a similar effect. It is commented out pretty well so hopefully you can follow it without a problem. ** There is a small bug in the scroll bar…but I can’t find the .fla that has that fixed at the moment.

I’m about to be out for the night … but will try to post a step by step tomorrow if you still need one.

Still need alittle help, I cant get this thing to resize and, well mostly edit it around to my liking, i must be very dumb =P could anyone help me out alittle? thanks alot!
