I was wondering if someone could direct me to some resources in figuring out how to do something like digg swarm: http://labs.digg.com/swarm
I know its been out for a while… but I have some free time and would like to do some visual experiments.
I can figure out the data aspects of it just fine. What I don’t have a clue about is how to animate objects with a somewhat intelligent relative spacial model. The bubbles in the swarm seem to space them selves out really well and when new bubbles are added or bubbles start taking up more space … the surrounding bubbles move out of the way.
How do build something like that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
