I created text in Flash. Then converted it to Movie Clip. Then rotated the Movie Clip, so the text is somewhat diagonal.
At this point in time, I need to add a background to the text, so that it looks like a rectangle with stroke and text is in the middle.
- There seem to be no option to add background directly to the text. I can add color effect to the Movie Clip, but it also changes the color of text, while I must not change it, only background.
So, I tried to add a rectangle behind the text box. But it poses two problems:
-
The text box is non-transparent. It has white background (!) which covers my rectangle.
-
The text is rotated. Even if I double click into Movie Clip, the text inside it is rotated, too, although I didn’t rotate the text, only Movie Clip. So now, adding a rectangle as a text background is possible, but not precise, because the size and rotation must be done with the eye and not numerically. The result is always a bit skewed.
So, can somebody tell me, how to add precise text background after the text has been already rotated?
