Basically i got 4 birds on fenceposts, and when i click on em i want them to fly away… that’s not really my question tho…i just need some animating tips on moving the wings… i’ve dinked around with em for awhile but can’t get em to look right, here’s the .fla
it looks cheesy as hell, but i’m bored and im just experimenting =D
What you need to do is first study what a wing looks like when it flaps - a video, pictures, whatever. Just so you get the idea of the motion and shape it goes through. When you think you’ve got that, make several graphics in Flash of various states of wing. So one where it’s down, one where it’s bending slightly upward, another where it’s up more, and another where it’s fully extended kind of thing.
Then you make a movie clip for a flapping wing animation. Put the various graphics in separate frames, one after the other, and then in reverse. So your timeline consists of keyframes of your wing going up and then down. A little tip - at the end of the movie, don’t put the final down wing state in. Since this animation will be looping through, it’ll skip back to the first frame which is the wing down. If you repeat that at the end, you’ll get a longer gap between flaps. Remember not to put any scripting on this, so it’ll loop.
