I have created an email template in Dreamweaver to be used as stationary in Outlook Express. The layout includes a table with certain cells having background images so that text can be added and changed on top of the graphics.
The problem is when the template is used in Outlook Express everything appears fine until it is sent to someone. When it arrives at the other end the background images are no longer there. All other graphics that are placed in table cells appear but none of the background images are there.
I’ve looked on the web and there seems to be certain issues with background images - but there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer. The weird thing is that the preview in Outlook shows the images and if I send it to myself the images also show up - its only when I send them to a different computer. Is it purely an issue with background images in email templates or is there another reason. I’ve not used email templates before really so any help would be much appreciated.
