you can load html formatted text into flash but it only supports html version 1 tags i.e. you can’t use tables or frames.
there are creative ways of getting around this, visually anyway, but i’d really have to know more specific information on the project and problem you’re trying to solve before i could give you a solution.

i am looking for a way to make a table in a textbox. i allready know how to insert html code into a .swf file but it’s not possible to make a table.
You write on the messageboard that there are creative ways of solving that. I really would like to know how!

well they’re right, there are several ways, you can use frames, each frames a different swf file. In the middle your html. Or, you can use an iframe (only IE) and layer it, use javascript for that, or you can make you’re own layer as well, again javascript. There are many ways. But why doesn’t macromedia enable all the tags in flash, it would be easier.
several ways…i really don’t know. i want a table in mij textfile. Ive learned about an encode program fromwhere it is possible to put %20 and stuff in the txt file and make a sort of table.
BUt it’s not a easy way…can you be more specific about a way to make a table in a textbox.

well the thing is, you can do it in a other way, NOT in a text-box. You can use html and hide it, untill you click a button inside your movie. You can position is too. All by using layers

This is my first time here on your forums. I’ve almost checked all your threads and loved what I saw. I was recently introduced to Flash and I fell in love with it. So I’ve decided to take Flash MX classes starting tomorrow. Then after that i’ll be able to participate in the forums fully. If i make any mistakes or anything like that please forgive me guys.
