Hey. I’m Matt. I’ve been designing and coding websites for a while now. I started with HTML, then moved on to XHTML. In an effort to become more professional, and to stay on top of the latest technology, I’m trying to understand some of the latest standards. I’m hoping someone here can help me.
- What language? HTML, XHTML, or something else?
- What version? HTML 5, XHTML 1.0, XHTML 1.1, XHTML 2.0, or something else?
- Where can I find a well-documented resource(s) explaining the latest standards?
From what I can understand from the w3 website which seems to be the official source, although it’s hard to understand to begin with, some versions of HTML and XHTML are drafts. Does that mean they are like beta? I need something that is complete, and fully developed.
