IE6 repeating my ending text?

Hello everyone. I created a site with CSS. Comparing just between IE6 and IE7, there is a huge problem that I cannot figure out for the life of me. I have had this problem before, but the solution did not work for this site.

So here is the problem:

In some of my <div>'s, the last letters of the paragraph repeat itself a few lines down…like someone pasted the last letters into another part of my code. It’s crazy; and unfortunately I don’t have the site online to physically show.

This problem is very apparent in my footer, where it takes my last text in my paragraph (which is a phone number) and repeats the phone number again on the next line for no reason. This makes my footer look terrible and the background color is not continued into this new line break. I have the same problem in a right column too (I have a three-column layout).

Has anyone run into this problem with IE6? It looks great everywhere else, but IE6 is messing me up and keeping me from finishing this project with a tight deadline coming up. I have tried every trick I can think of, and my options are running thin.

If anyone could please help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time in reading.
