What are iFrames exactly ?
iframes, or “inline frames” are an inovation in HTML 4.0 that allows you to place a frame wherever you want in a html-page. That is to say: You don’t have to split up your page in multiple frames to load content exactly where you want it anymore. This guy will explain it in nice friendly terms…

I’m on a mac, and I always test my sites in all my browsers, so I can say that on a mac the latest versions of Netscape, Opera, Camino (nee Mozilla), Safari and IE handles iframes pretty well.
On Windows I think I’ve only tested Netscape and IE, but I’d presume Opera does the job there as well.
