Ignore the background

Hi Everybody,

let’s say you have a background pattern defined in your HTML index page.
Now is there a way to have FLash ignore the background when the swf is included in the page? (similar to when loading an mc into a dif. level)?

gracias and a la prochain,

m.

Hmmm…what exactly are you trying to do? This is what I’m getting: You only want the html background to be there when the .swf isn’t loaded. Is that what you mean?

not quite…surf this site: http://www.probe3.com/

hi mucho - sorry; don’t know what you’re trying to get to here. Been to the website and it’s all black with no b/g images - maybe I’m going to the wrong area of the site? Maybe you could tell us which area of the site has the effect.

hell this is the first time is see this… would be happy to have an answer too
is it because of the “wmode=transparent” in the html tags ?

edit: yup it’s definitely that because what you’re talking about doesn’t work in netscape, and I know the “wmode=transparent” only works in IE…

mlkdesign - put me out of my misery; where is the effect?!

Hi Cello,

maybe your browser isn’t supporting the CSS. check out the source and look forr the bg.gif…this gif will remain on the site throughout the whole flash mc’s. the swf sort of become transparent, BUT only the backgrounds.

@mlkdesign …don’t know if it with wmode…it works fine here on Netscape
I think it is something about ignore.white blah blah
