When you use handles to transform (move, rorate, resize etc) an image on flash MX, you can resize the image by dragging one of the handles. It resizes the image by shrinking or pulling the image from the end you started to move the handle. I want to keep the centre of the image at the same location while the image is resized.
Say I have a 5 cm long text line. I want to resize it to be 3 cm long by pulling one of the handles inward. When I do this, one end of the text line stays where it is now and the other end moves inward to make the text line 3 cm long. This means, now the centre of the text line has moved 1 cm inward as well. What I want to do is to get the image size reduced to 3 cm by getting 1 cm shrunk from each end while the centre of the image remains where it is now on the Flash MX stage.
Is there an easy way of doing this?
