Import a .swf file into a .fla?

I am VERY new to flash… I have a full flash site, thank goodness for templates. Now I am being asked to add a swf file created with amara software (didn’t know if that made a difference.) I have googled this and can’t REally understand what they are talking about.

Please give detail instructions on HOW TO - add/import a swf file into my flash FLA. Thank you.

FYI - the file created with amara is scrolling text with a photo behind it/background.
