I am importing some small MOV files into Flash. I was provided with quicktime files with the following audio format: MPEG-4 Audio, Stereo, 32000 Hz. The audio sounds great in the Quicktime movie, but would not import into Flash.
I looked at an mov I had succesfully imported with audio in the past and requested files with that audio format: QDesignMusic 2, Mono, 22050 Hz What I was sent actually had this format: 8-bit unsigned integer, Mono, 22.050 kHz This audio does import, but there is a buzz/hum in the quicktime audio, and that noise carries over into Flash.
This leaves me with a couple questions:
-
Does the second audio format I requested / was sent unavoidably cause this noise because of some kind of compression? or does it sound like the person preparing the Quicktime file doing something that is causing the problem?
-
Is there an audio format standard for Quicktime movies that has good quality and that imports into Flash that I should be using?
I don’t know anything about creating Quicktime movies, and audio format so I appreciate any insight you can offer.
