hello. Im trying to develop on top of the inifinite menu tutorial.

I have the basics of the tutorial working. Pretty much everything is working fine. But im now using the menu in a scene that has dimensions larger than that of the movieclip(mask). Now things dont work so well and im having trouble getting hit.tests to work just for the mask. The menu also isnt placed perfectly on X=0 on the left of the stage so the functionality is all wacky. A smaller issue i was curious about was setting up a default direction and speed. whenever the mouse is off the hit.test, the menu just reverts o a slow moving scroll in the left or right direction .Any help would be greatly apprecciated, cuz my brain hurts big time.
