Inline framing

The Insert/inline framing option is grayed out when I try to use it. so, I am unable to do the exercise in inlineframe.htm on page 232; as the worked example provided from the book’s website, on inlineframing, does work, I am puzzled why the option is not available on the Insert drop down menu.

Can you help, please?

Kieran

Hello Kieran,
I address this issue in your previous post: http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=209902#post209902

The problem is that, for you, FrontPage has set the compatibility of its code to work with multiple versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers. Advanced features such as background images in cells/tables and inline frames require use of the more recent IE and Netscape browsers.

Simply placing your browser compatibility to custom (Tools | Page Options : Compatibility) and checking all the boxes should help you resolve your problem.

Cheers!

I tried this but it didn’t work. Guess I can leave it for now, rather than get bogged down in it.
