Input Boxes Too Big in Safari + Mac IE

Hi

I made a website and tested in PC IE + Opera + Mozilla and the input boxes in the top right corner look fine:

However in Safari and Internet Explorer on the Mac, the input boxes show up larger and bust out of the assigned area.

I don’t have a mac to test and try to troubleshoot this, so I was wondering if someone knows a solution.

I tried assigned absolute values to the boxs’ heights and widths using CSS to no avail.

Thanks

And I assume your client is using Safari and/or IE on a Mac. :~)

Mac browser issues, particularly with javascript and css, is a long standing problem. The issues seem to vary not only by browser version, but also by OS version.

In most cases, I’ve shown the client several different sources of web site visitor stats for Mac vs PC and have given him the choice of keeping the look as is, or redesigning the page layout to a format that will also work properly for that less than 5% that use a Mac.

thanks, I got it to work on Safari, but Mac IE users will just have to live with it I guess.
