Inserting a java applet into Flash MX

Is it possible to insert a JAVA Applet into FLASH MX File and have it run within the flash movie browser.

I can easily load the html file from the get URL but wanted to have the FLASH browser run the Applet itself. I have been searching the online help and other documentation but whenever I look for “inserting Java” it gives me documents that say how great “actionScript” is. I really don’t want to rewrite all the programs in another language. Should the applets not be insertable somehow?

If I am missing something very simple, I apologize. (please tell me I’m an idiot after you point out the obvious)

To my knowledge, it isn’t possible. It’s not even possible to insert just a html page with pictures into flash so as far as an java applet, its out of the question. sorry :-\
