Digital Media Program: f/t faculty position
The Digital Media Program in the Department of Media Arts announces a full-time faculty position (non-tenure-track) in interactive media design.
Responsibilities include teaching beginning through advanced undergraduate courses in interactive media design and scripting as well as some student advising. The successful candidate will have a strongly developed sense of both functional and esthetic design issues in interactive media, excellent skills in the use of HTML and applications including Dreamweaver, Flash, and Director, and knowledge of DVD authoring; knowledge of computer games is a plus. Minimum requirements include a BA or BS degree (MA or MS preferred) and a strong portfolio giving evidence of extensive interactive media production.
The Digital Media Program offers undergraduate and graduate courses in Digital Media leading to BS and MS degrees in Digital Media. The undergraduate program is selective, admitting 45 freshmen a year. Its students receive a broad education across the digital media field—including 3D modeling and animation, interactive and traditional media and computer gaming—and a general education in design arts, liberal arts, and sciences.
