I want to have some projects on my personal graphic design site, that are similar to http://heavy-rotation.net/ I have searched this site and a few others, but I didn’t know if anyone knew of some sites that would help me with some cool interactive things for my site.

Those look like Action Scripts experiments to me.
Basicaly to do those kinds of thins, which are amazing by the way, you need a good knowledge of actions script, where do you get a good knoweldge of actionscript you say? Well, start right here : www.kirupa.com
