Hello all,
Before I start I’ve tried searching the internet and this site for my answer but to no avail. Basically I’m stuck in a project where I have flash files from a DVD which play streamed video’s from a flash component.
What I need help on is if the video (which is hosted on my web server) cannot be accessed with a internet connection it displays a image instead which is built into the file itself and the viewer is none the wiser if a video exists or not.
Like I said I’ve tried searching for a solution and have come close (or so I thought) to an answer but I can’t seem to get it to work. What I’ve tried is placing a file (in my case a .txt file) on my web server and code my actionscript to try and access this file. If it can it traces back “Connected to internet” if not it returns “No internet connection found”. Now this works fine whilst exporting the .swf and viewing it within flash but when testing it outside flash it pops up with a window saying “Macromedia Flash Player security”
If anybody out there can help provide me with a solution would be greatly appreciated.
