Anybody in here know much about internet telephony? For instance, making a phone call through MSN Messenger. Is it possible to play soundfiles (ie: celebrity soundboards) from the computer and get a conference going with another telephone end-user? If so, how do you do it? Thanks.
I’m not sure about right now, I know of a service called [a href=“www.dialpad.com”]Dialpad[/a] which lets you call from the internet to a phone, everything was free, including long distance too, but haven’t checked there in a while. I’m not sure where you are getting at the “possible to play soundfiles” deal.
=)
i tried using dialpad a long time ago (when i still had dial up)
the connection was terrible…the other ended sounded like they were in a tin can, there was a one or two second lag time (really annoying) and you had to listen to ads ever so often. basically you get what you “pay” for.
i haven’t tried using dialpad in a few years…i would think it would have to be somewhat better with a broadband connection though.
good luck

I haven’t used it at least 4 years now. When I did use it, there wasn’t any ads or anything, and the voices where clear with no lag neither.
=)
thanks
