Hit your PrintScreen key and paste in flash.

Thank you, I do know how to capture the desktop image that way while making the flash movie but is there any way that a compiled movie by use of sendkeys or other script, can copy any desktop image and paste it in the background of the running movie? Hope that makes sense.

I have tried it before and has been proven impossible with Flash 5 because Flash can only detect ASCI keys!

When you capture your screen, as long as you don’t paste this into a bitmap processing program like paint, Photoshop or PSP and then save it, there’s no “physical” image, so what would your swf do with? can’t paste/ set as bg s’thing that doesn’t exist yet! and flash is vectors, not aimed at handling bitmaps…
