Is iTunes the most anti-Vista program ever?

Since getting my laptop with Vista on I haven’t really had any problems with programs working on it: My Studio 8 all works fine, Office XP works fine, even Grim Fandango works fine! But one program I seem to always have problems with is iTunes

Firstly, the program wouldn’t even install properly, meaning I had to do something to a vb file or something, then the CD drive wouldn’t burn discs (although I have since found out that isn’t necessarily iTunes fault), THEN I get a message constantly telling me that the software for my iPhone/iPod isn’t configured properly!

The latest problems however, are
a) I can’t set it as the default program for audio files as it isn’t in my default programs list
b) None of the Widgets I’ve downloaded work with it
c) Whenever I choose it from my start menu, Windows just seems to reconfigure it all the time

I know that, in the state of the world today these are very small problems, but they are ■■■■ annoying!!!

Does anyone happen to have any solutions for these problems? When I first got the program everything seemed fine, so maybe its just the iTunes version…which sucks slightly!
