hey, do any of you have trouble with iTunes cutting the end off of MP3s?

i do, ever since i started using iTunes a few versions ago i find that it’s randomly cutting the ends off of some songs. and it’s FOR GOOD. once it happens i can’t play the MP3 in any other player without it being cut off. some songs get cut off a few seconds in so i’m losing almost the entire song.

the strange thing is that the time code for the truncated mp3s still register the full length time even tho they are cut off.

this happens on iTunes at work on Dell and at home on Dell. Windows XP sp2. the cutting is always permanent and random with no explination.

anyone else have this trouble? some of my friends have this but not as often as i seem to. i’m pretty sure my iPod is doing it randomly too. am i doing something wrong?

Never had that problem on the Mac version that does seem really strange. You should google it!

That’s weird… report it!

Never had that problem here. At work i use a Dell with Wxp SP2. Why don’t you try to search on apple’s knowledge base?

I have, I actually contacted apple about it as well but waited about a month to get no reply. That’s why I figured I’d ask ya’ll. I guess I’ll try to contact them again.
