First off… this is totally useless! 
It’s a small experiment I was fiddling with after watching an optical illusion. Basically just alot of transparent images being rotated around that makes some interesting patterns. Incidentally it can also be used to see how awful IE is with drawing transparent PNG’s with tearing effects. Opera seems to have very poor performance. Firefox handles it quite well with up to 150 layers of images on my 2.4 Intel Dual Core (but cannot make use of both cores).
