rightio, I want a way for a <a href> tag to, when clicked, chat to a swf file which is on the same webpage and trigger a function which is within the swf file.
Within the swf file would be two frames on the main time line. The initial actionscript which sits on the first frame would contain the stop(); and the function to which the javascript on the webpage will call upon. This called upon function will simply execute a gotoAndPlay(nextFrame); The nextFrame contains code which will stream a video and such.
Looking on the web it looks like something to do with External.Interface stuff, but I don’t really know where to start. Just a simply example of how a <a href="#" onClick=“talkToSwf();”> click </a> would chat to the Flash file.
