why aren’t we using the “CALENDAR” for public events? Like when the contest submisions are due?

I look at the Calendar all the time to see whos birthdays are coming up, but as you stated, no one even knows it exists, so I don’t see any point in using it to post public events and such because people won’t even check Stickies much less go into the Calendar and check things out
The Calendar…hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever used that feature either lol.
