This is a problem i have since a few days ago, maybe a week or a little bit more.
I’ts since those sponsor links appeared! I believe it’s a randomize sorta script that is used at every request for a page, so that makes an extra strain on the server!
Since this is a problem for me, and i quite enjoy this site, I propose that the script be run once a day and the info be stored in a file to be recalled on page request. It’s not this solution, but until the script processing weight is changed, the site is practicly inacessible to me…
I know many of u r thinking that it’s my crappy pc, but i tried it on others and the result is best on mine, in others it’s a time out…
My pc is a p4 3.0Ghz HT@800FSB with 512MB@400Mhz and a nvidia 6600 GT 128MBDDR3 PCI-E… I got a 2MB connection… It’s gotta open a web page!!
Another way to change the strain on the server request would be to change the script location to another HDD entirely or another comp alltogether… This might not be an option, as it might mean a set of bills to show up to some1s house…
