there are many skins but i had a skin where you could chat with other members i loved it because you could get help even quicker :))
i think all skins should have a minichat for all members to chat 
we do have an irc channel, you can check that out
One thing you might want to keep in mind is that not all users would want the extra CPU (and bandwidth) consumption of a chat running continuously. If it were optional, it would be more difficult to implement.
I have a specialized .swf that can connect to the same server (which is actually down at the moment) as the header chat, but unless I’m reminded of it, I never check it.
Also, chats are generally harder to moderate, so a new chat would probably have to be designed if the exposure to others became greater. It would be unfair to expect RvGaTe to handle to larger bandwidth increase, so Kirupa (or someone else) would have to agree to host it.

Actually! A month or two ago, me and freeskier89 got talking a came up with the idea for a nice flash chat system for webpages. It’s gonna be called “stringtransfer”. Well I suck at the coding bit so he and his bro are most likely gonna get going on it when we get together on msn next.
As far as hosting goes- I’d be glad to host the chat system
