If it’s any consolation, it’s very difficult to beat anyone up when you’re wearing 3" stilettos. Let’s face it, even walking was giving me problems.
I noticed the CFM’s …
but then again, I’m an old Shoe Dog (sells shoes for a living)…

and Tuknuk, Al Bundy sold Women’s shoes so bad, Peg wouldn’t even wear them. I sold upscale shoes and acc.
But I liked his daughter…

Think about it.
sorry. wasnt pay attn. got it now.
REV! go and wash your brain out with soap and hot water!
It’s what you think about when you are a 28 yr old recent divorce’ working in a high end women’s shoe dept…
the same thing everyone else thinks about, but we had props…
Rev
oh. well that’s ok then. ok people! move along! nothing to see here!
Props - props are good as long as there were more than just guys working in your store!
What was the most expensive pair of shoes/whatever you ever sold there?
most expensive shoe = Baby Cayman $1000.00 (1992)
most expensive accessory = Baby Cayman Briefcase $7800.00 (1991)
most expensive sale to one customer = Saudi Royal Fam member = $19,200.00 cash (1993)
BTW - we made 10% commission…
Rev
**** - you must have ate well for an entire year in 1993! holy crap
I know a guy who used to work in a womans high end shoe store as well, it was in Toronto. He met Pat Borders and his wife(jays old backcatcher during thier back to back world series wins) and became close friends with him. He went to all the penant games and 2 of the WS games… lucky bastard I have seen a ton of pics so I know it’s true.
I think I’m going to quit my job and sell some womans shoes - seems like a lucrative business
It can be. When I was working on Union Square, if we didn’t sell $2k/day average, we were slacking. The lowest priced shoe in the store was a $200 canvas tennis shoe…
But then again, only “Guns” were working there. Shoe Dogs who had outshined everyone on lesser sales floors, and who had “paid their dues.” I had been a District Manager of high end shoes for 5 years, before I met the requirements. Sale times were incredible. $20,000 days were not uncommon. And the women you met…
:beam:
I still have a few friends in the business, each makes over $70k/yr working at most 5 days a week. They all have great insurance and vac benefits… But they are the cream of the crop…
