I developed a 100% Flash web site for a client. A month later she asked me to make a version of it in Spanish. I thought, “no problem, I’ll just make two SWFs, one in English and the other one in Spanish. If the user clicks on English, I’ll load the English SWF. If she clicks on Spanish, I’ll load the Spanish one.”
Now the client wants a version of the site in Italian and another version in Portuguese. I am afraid this project will become unmanageable. (If I had one SWF per language, every time there’s a change in content to the site I’ll have to change all the files.)
Is there a smarter way to go about solving this language support problem?
