i have an object on a motion path and want it to leave a solid trail of itself when it moves (no fade and stage isn’t cleared)
any help would be great, my actionscript is pretty basic

the kind of effect i want is like someone drawing freehand on the screen, the dot of their paintbrush is moving and all the places it has been before its mark is left

did you try a Repeating movie clip?
how is that done?
basically your telling flash to leave your image at the same place and then fade away… (and eventually unload the image)
