I would think that you’d probably have to set up a dataBase in mySQL, Import your excel into that… and then could pull the stuff in via PHP into Flash
…but that’s just my wild guess…

…the guy on that thread was looking for cdRom/projector application but it may be a (lead-to) solution for you as well if you don’t need to call for your excel bit dynamically
O~wise the Dbase approach w/PHP may be the way and bring entries into dynamic text fields
