Linking .swfs into frames using Dreamweaver

First time poster here, so please take it easy on me.

I have been using Flash on and off for a while now. I am currently creating a, what everyone calls impossible website. With that being said ill get to the point.

I don’t know if i am missing something in the hundreds of pages of documentation i have read on flash and dreamweaver, which could easily be the case, but i cannot find any information on how to link a .swf to a .swf.

Let me explain further.

I am building the website in pieces. every “frame” has a .fla - .swf - .html. Whether this is the correct way or not please, someone tell me now. Anyway, I am using dreamweaver to “group” or “link” them all together. The question i have is…

How can i make a button (whether its a mc or bt) play one .swf from one frame ( in dreamweaver ) to another frame in dreamweaver. Let me try and clarify. I need to click a button in the bottom frame.swf and have it show the page (or .swf) in a different frame.

Dreamweaver has buttons built into it that lets you link from one .html to another, this is simple. The problem is clicking a button on bottom.swf and having it display another .swf somewhere else on the page.

I relate this problem to html, because its what i know most about. Back in the day, you could tell a "ahref = middle.swf “middle frame” " which frame you want it to post in.

So should i scrap this idea, and just use scenes? Even though i dont want to use scenes because i like the idea of dreamweaver “weaving” the .swfs so the users dont have to refresh the entire page everytime? A little help, or at least some direction would help very much guys.

Thanks

–Matt
