Load 2 Movies at the same time

Hi, I would really appreciation anyone’s help with this one: although I know how to use the load movie function properly, I’m having problems loading both movies at the same time. For example, my main website loads first because its not very big (903kb) but then when that’s loaded, the second movie which is a music player (2.38MB) is still loading. Is there anyway to make them both load at the same time? (ie. a preloader which loads 903kb + 2.38mb)

but, anyways, yep, there is a way, but the user will wait for hours before these (almost) 3.5 Mb are loaded…
put them in the same swf. or in the first use a set of variables to check if the second is loaded.

2mb is huge. I wouldn’t want to wait for that to load just so I could view your site. I would rather be allowed to look thru and then have the music load later. Just my opinion…

Thanks, I guess I’m really new to this so I just assumed 3mb wasn’t much… but obviously it is. So basically what you’re saying is that I should load the sound player .swf into the main website .fla?
Does anyone have any other suggestions on how I could make a more effective music jukebox? Thanks again.

use smaller music loops. you can download a lot from flashkit.com check out their sound loops and then load them in dynamically… also here is a really good sound tutorial:
