I am very new to Flash MX and may be displaying monumental ignorance. Please be gentle with me.
I am trying to create a Flash project to be used as a teaching aid on Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’. The idea is to enable users to pick a section (specifically in this case, chapter summaries) and then make a further choice from the content that slides in when ‘chapter summaries’ is clicked from the main menu, to see the textual content relating to that choice. (I am using a ‘draggable’ menu with options that make new pages slide in when clicked. This is displayed on top throughout the project.) On one of the content pages, I have managed to create a moving image menu of further options, which is contained within a masked area. This is a simple scrolling ‘gallery’ of buttons that relate to specific chapters. I have used invisible buttons so that when the option is selected the text will load in a text box (directly below) on the same ‘page’ as the scrolling buttons. I’ve tried a number of the tutorials that explain how to do this, without success.
Any ideas?
Thanks
