my previous thread was long winded and didn’t get any response, so I’m going to shorten this on considerably.
how do you load a local movie without creating an instance of it on the root.
whenever I create a button that links to a movie in my local library, it will tell me that it can’t find the movie that I’m talking about. Even after telling it to export it’s name for actionscripting.
It sounds like you’re heading in the right direction with checking “export for actionscript”. Is the option to load on first frame also checked? (it should be, that’s the default).
Also, are you using attachMovie? If so, it could be in the synatx. Kyle is right, the fla would help.
