I don’t think I’ve posted this in this forum yet and I need all the help I can get… 
I’ve done quite a bit of searching for this and found that many have this question, but I’m still getting nowhere…
It’s so frustrating when you find a tutorial and spend forever following it and it doesn’t work, but they end with “…and there you have it!! A preloader that will load all your external swfs at once!!” but it doesn’t. 
I’m not so picky about having a loading bar and track the progress of them all, although that would be nice, but if I can just find a way to have them all load before my main movie starts while a simple animation plays (like a spinning circle) then they are all ready to go when the links are pressed. I hate that I have to work with Flash MX, since many tutorials use a different version and the actionscript is different and they use the preloader components that come with later versions.
If there’s anyone that can explain this simply and/or provide a code that will do the trick I would be SO grateful…
