I have a very urgent problem that I’m hoping you guys can help me with…
Basically I have been making a (prototype) flash web page for a presentation I have to give for school. The web page is basically a means of displaying my portfolio online. However I am having trouble finding a way to create buttons that once clicked, open an image in a new window from flash. My work requires a button that will open an image (in a new window) from the computer’s hard-drive - also the computer cannot be connected to the internet at the time. I know of the various pop-up tutorials involving getURL(), and Javascript in HTML, and I have completed these, however they only seem to work when the URL points to a location online, and I need this done locally (eg. C:\MyImage\image.jpg) – or maybe I just made a mistake?
Please any help would be great, even is it is to suggest some other means of doing this…
